Mediante il seguente comunicato stampa TUL Corporation ha annunciato la scheda grafica Radeon LCS HD4870, la cui commercializzazione è stata associata al brand PowerColor. La LCS HD4870 - dove l'acronimo LCS sta per Liquid Cooling Solution - porta con se una nuova feature, che inaugura una linea di schede video molto tolleranti all'overclock, pur essendo di tipo a slot singolo, grazie all'adozione di un sistema di raffreddamento a liquido.
Il cooler è molto esteso (cfr. la foto seguente), dal momento che è in grado di coprire non solo la gpu ma anche i chip di RAM e i regolatori di tensione dello stadio di alimentazione. Con una simile soluzione per la stabilizzazione termica, PowerColor certifica le frequenze operative di 800MHz per la gpu e di 950MHz per la RAM. L'MSRP della LCS HD4870 è pari a $369.
