Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, il produttore taiwanense Power Quotient International (PQI) ha annunciato i moduli di memoria RAM DDR3 denominati TURBO DDR3 2000. In accordo al maker, si tratta dei primi moduli di DDR3 in grado di offrire simultaneamente una capacità pari a 4GB e una frequenza operativa di 2000MHz.
Le nuove DIMM sono organizzate in kit per il triple-channel da 12GB (3 x 4GB) e per il dual-channel da 8GB (2 x 4GB); ogni modulo è realizzato con l'ausilio di un PCB a 8 layer ed è equipaggiato con un dissipatore passivo in alluminio.
Le TURBO DDR3 di QPI supportano inoltre XMP e possono vantare un profilo di timing pari a 9-11-9-27-2T in corrispondenza della polarizzazione con una tensione di 1.65V (valore di default).
