In poco più di 3 anni, i download da iTunes U hanno raggiunto quota 300 milioni e questo è diventato uno dei cataloghi educational online più famosi al mondo. Oltre 800 università in tutto il mondo hanno siti iTunes U attivi, e quasi metà di queste istituzioni rende pubblici i propri contenuti attraverso iTunes Store. Nuovi contenuti sono stati recentemente resi disponibili da università in Cina, Hong Kong, Giappone, Messico e Singapore; gli utenti iTunes hanno ora accesso ad oltre 350.000 file audio e video resi pubblici da istituzioni didattiche in tutto il mondo.

Creato in collaborazione con college e università, iTunes U facilita l’ampliamento delle conoscenze, l’approfondimento di temi di interesse o la migliore conoscenza di una scuola. Come area dedicata all’interno di iTunes Store (www.iTunes.com), iTunes U offre agli utenti l’accesso pubblico a contenuti resi disponibili da istituzioni di livello mondiale come Harvard, MIT, Cambridge, Oxford, University of Melbourne e Université de Montréal. iTunes U dà a chiunque la possibilità di partecipare a corsi universitari, vedere dimostrazioni di laboratorio, highlights sportivi, fare tour dei campus e partecipare a lezioni di relatori speciali. In just over three years, iTunes U downloads have topped 300 million and it has become one of the world’s most popular online educational catalogs. Over 800 universities throughout the world have active iTunes U sites, and nearly half of these institutions distribute their content publicly on the iTunes Store. New content has just been added from universities in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico and Singapore, and iTunes users now have access to over 350,000 audio and video files from educational institutions around the globe.

Created in collaboration with colleges and universities, iTunes U makes it easy to extend learning, explore interests or learn more about a school. A dedicated area within the iTunes Store (www.iTunes.com), iTunes U offers users public access to content from world class institutions such as Harvard, MIT, Cambridge, Oxford, University of Melbourne and Université de Montréal. iTunes U gives anyone the chance to experience university courses, lab demonstrations, sports highlights, campus tours and special lectures. All iTunes U content is free and can be enjoyed on a Mac or PC, or wirelessly downloaded directly onto an iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.
