This PBI cointains Red Hat 8.8.0 Linux ABI layer that seems to be more compatible with some apps like Skype, and some games like QuakeIV, Doom3 etc then the RH9 included by default with PC-BSD 1.0.
The PBI will erase the RH9 installed by default in PC-BSD 1.0 and will install the RH 8.8.0.
When you will remove RH8.8.0 you will be asked for restore the default RH9 ABI linux layer.
In this way you can safetely test this Linux ABI layer and you can switch back whenever you want.
Please take note that you MUST remove the extention .zip after downloaded it !!
Questo PBI contiene il Red Hat 8.8.0 Linux Binary Compatibility Layer che sembra essere molto più compatibile rispetto al layer Red Hat 9 distribuito con la distribuzione di PC-BSD 1.0.
Questo PBI permette di avere una maggiore compatibilità con alcune applicazioni quali Skype ed alcuni games quali Quake IV e Doom3.
In fase di disinstallazione prevede l'opzione per il ripristino del "vecchio" ABI linux Layer (Red Hat 9) e quindi può essere testato in maniera "indolore".
Attenzione!! rimuovere l'estenzione.zip dopo il download.
