ATI ha annunciato, mediante il comunicato stampa di seguito riportato, un accordo con HP Compaq, divisione di IBM specializzata nella realizzazione di personal computer, in base al quale il notebook nx9420, soluzione di fascia alta dell'offerta HP Compaq per i sistemi mobile, sarà dotato del chip grafico Mobility Radeon X1600 per l'implementazione del sottosistema grafico.
