G.SKILL, in previsione del lancio, da parte di Intel, dei nuovi processori Core i7 Haswell-E e del chipset X99 Express, ha annunciato la nuova linea di memorie DDR4 denominata Ripjaws 4.

I nuovi moduli Ripjaws 4 di G.SKILL, la cui commercializzazione è prevista mediante kit composti da un minimo di due unità a un massimo di quattro, sono naturalmente progettati per lavorare nella modalità quad-channel supportata dalle nuove CPU di Intel e sono caratterizzati da differenti frequenze di lavoro, timing e capacità (4GB oppure 8GB).

A partire dalla frequenza pari a 2133MHz con un profilo di timing pari a 15-15-15-35 e una tensione di polarizzazione pari a 1.2V, le nuove memorie Ripjaws 4 sono progettate per lavorare di default anche a 2400MHz, 2666MHz, 2800MHz, 3000MHz e 3200MHz (con le velocità di 3000MHz e 3200MHz la tensione di polarizzazione sale a 1.35V).

G.SKILL ha scelto tre differenti colorazioni per il dissipatore passivo applicato ai moduli, ovvero rosso, blue e nero. Inoltre, i moduli che hanno una frequenza di lavoro pari a 2400MHz o superiore supportano la tecnologia Intel XMP 2.0, che sappiamo essere particolarmente utile per il tuning automatico delle performance e la stabilità dell'hardware.
