Galaxy Microsystems ha lanciato la video card GTX 770 GC 4GB (part number: 77NQH7DV8NKV), una soluzione non reference basata sulla gpu GeForce GTX 770 di NVIDIA, a cui il produttore ha abbinato un frame buffer caratterizzato da una capacità pari a 4GB (si tratta, evidentemente, di un valore pari a due volte quello di una GTX 770 reference).

Galaxy ha inoltre sovradimensionato lo stadio di alimentazione della card, basato su un VRM a 5 + 2 fasi, a differenza delle implementazioni a 4 + 2 fasi aderenti invece al design reference, e dotato di componenti discreti (MOSFET) IR DirectFET, con i quali vengono ridotti sia la problematica delle interference elettromagnetiche (EMI, ElectroMagnetic Interference) che quella relativa alla produzione di calore.

Il core grafico della GTX 770 GC 4GB lavora a 1110MHz (clock di base) e fino a 1163MHz (GPU Boost), e il frame buffer a 7010MHz; il bus che interconnette la gpu alla memoria locale è a 256-bit.

La GTX 770 GC 4GB può gestire fino a quattro monitor simultaneamente mediante il set di connettori di uscita di cui è dotata (due porte DVI dual-link, una HDMI e una DisplayPort 1.2); la card supporta inoltre le tecnologie GPU Boost 2.0, 3D Vision, CUDA, DirectX 11 (più in dettaglio DirectX 11.1), PhysX, TXAA, AdaptiveV-Sync, FXAA, 3D Vision Surround, SLI, ed è naturalmente utilizzabile con la console SHIELD di NVIDIA.

Galaxy Microsystems, a leading graphics card manufacturer, announced today the GTX 770 GC 4GB, now with 2 times the memory vs. reference editions. The 4GB version is tuned to match the impressive 1163 MHz boost clock of the GTX 770 GC 2GB and features an extra 2GB of memory to ensure smooth frame rates at high resolutions. The additional ram is especially critical for SLI setups where each card must share copies of the same resources.

Galaxy's Force Air Bracket is also present to help exhaust heat from the PC, and it provides a flexible assortment of outputs including DVI-I, DVI-D, DisplayPort, and HDMI. An adapter is included for VGA displays. Like other GTX 700 series cards before it, the GTX 770 GC 4GB supports DirectX 11.1, GPU Boost 2.0, TXAA, and a maximum of 4 concurrent displays.
