Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, TUL Corporation ha annunciato la linea di video card non reference e ad alte prestazioni denominata PowerColor PCS+ Vortex II Series. Al momento essa include due prodotti, denominati PowerColor PCS+ HD7970 Vortex II (equipaggiata con 3GB di G-DDR5) e PowerColor PCS+ HD7870 Vortex II (equipaggiata con 2GB di G-DDR5), e basati sulle gpu AMD Radeon HD 7970 e HD 7870 rispettivamente.
Entrambe le schede sono ottimizzate per operare in regime di overclocking grazie alla dotazione, da un lato, di uno stadio di alimentazione concepito in accordo al design proprietario "Platinum Power Kit" e di un cooler basato sulla tecnologia Vortex II, dall'altro.
Quest'ultimo offre all'utente la possibilità di variare alcuni attributi fisici del sistema di raffreddamento, al fine di adattare l'efficienza dello stesso e la direzione del flusso d'aria in funzione delle proprie esigenze.
Il core grafico e la memoria RAM delle PowerColor PCS+ HD7970 Vortex II e PowerColor PCS+ HD7870 Vortex II lavorano rispettivamente a 1100MHz e 1120MHz (in termini di core) e a 1425MHz e 1250MHz (in termini di VRAM). L'ampiezza del bus tra gpu e RAM è a 384-bit in un caso e a 256-bit nell'altro.
