Hightech Information System (HIS) ha annunciato la video card HIS 6670 iSilence 5 1 GB, una soluzione basata sul processore grafico AMD HD 6670, che il board maker ha progettato per l'utilizzo negli ambiti multimedia e home entertainment.
La nuova video card, infatti, permette la realizzazione di media centre completamente sileziosi e di dimensioni ridotte, in virtù della dotazione di un cooler passivo, da un lato, e di un consumo di potenza particolarmente contenuto, dall'altro (la scheda non assorbe potenza mediante connettori esterni).
Il sistema di raffreddamento della HIS 6670 iSilence 5 1 GB è basato su un design proprietario in cui sono incluse quattro heat pipe da 6mm ed un'ampia struttura lamellare da 190mm x 97mm x 32mm, che favorisce l'efficienza in fase di smaltimento del calore, senza penalizzare l'ingombro.
La HIS 6670 iSilence 5 1 GB ha un MSRP di poco superiore a €70.
