TUL Corporation ha annunciato la prima video card al mondo di classe AMD Radeon HD6970 equipaggiata con un cooler a liquido; la nuova proposta, che si
colloca nella fasc ia high-end del mercato consumer, è denominata PowerColor Liquid Cooling Solution (LCS) HD6970 2GB GDDR5 (cfr. le foto seguenti).
La scheda esibisce un dissipatote prodotto da EKwaterblocks che le consente prestazioni particolarmente elevate in regime di overclock, che l'hardware
promette di gestire con una stabilità ottimale. TUL Corporation dichiara a tal proposito che la soluzione adottata per il raffreddamento consente di
mantenere la temperatura della gpu al di sotto della soglia dei 50°C in condizioni di full load.
La PowerColor Liquid Cooling Solution (LCS) HD6970 2GB GDDR5 è naturalmente una card "factory overclocked"; in condizioni predeterminate, infatti, il core
grafico lavora a 925MHz mentre la memoria RAM a 1425MHz. Tali componenti sono alimentati con uno stadio customizzato, basato sulla tecnologia
"Volterra", che abbina un'elevata efficienza di trasformazione a una qualità ottimale del segnale, ovvero garantisce la stabilità del punto di lavoro dei chip sempre e comunque.
Il set di connettori di uscita include DL-DVI, SL-DVI, HDMI e 2 mini Display Port.

The PowerColor LCS HD6970 has a full water block mounted on the card, fully covering the key components which can be dissipate the
heat from the copper base design. This allows the reduction of GPU temperatures under 50°C even under full load. PowerColor packages a high-flow 3/8" and
1/2" fittings (barbs) to maximize water flow with captured o-rings to prevent leakage. Gamers can customize their own liquid cooling system using these two
fittings.
