Il produttore di sistemi di raffreddamento a liquido EK Water Blocks ha reso noto di aver avviato lo sviluppo di un water block ad alte prestazioni dedicato alle video card dual-gpu che implementano il design delle Radeon HD 7990.
In accordo al comunicato stampa che vi presentiamo di seguito in lingua originale, il nuovo water block sarà siglato EK-FC7990 ed avrà una dimensione molto prossima a quella del PCB in maniera tale da poter essere installato a contatto diretto con le GPU, i chip di RAM e il VRM (Voltage Regulation Module) della video card.
Secondo EK Water Blocks, una simile soluzione può garantire la stabilizzazione dell'hardware anche a seguito di "notevoli overclock". EK Water Blocks aggiunge che la base del water block sarà realizzata in rame elettrolitico nichelato e che il lancio del cooler avrà luogo nella seconda parte del mese di gennaio del 2013.

EK Water Blocks, Ljubljana based premium water cooling gear manufacturer, is working on a new Full Cover water block for the undisputedly hottest gaming graphics card in the world - Radeon HD 7990.
The upcoming EK-FC7990 water block will directly cool the both GPUs, RAM as well as VRM (voltage regulation module) as water will flow directly over these critical areas thus allowing the graphics card and it's VRM to remain stable under high overclocks. EK-FC7990 GTX water block will also features a very high flow design therefore it could easily be used in liquid cooling systems using weaker water pumps.
Base of the water block will be made of nickel plated electrolytic copper while the top will be made of quality satin finish acrylic or POM Acetal material.
The water block will be available for purchase through EK Webshop & Partner Reseller Network by late January 2013.
