Con il seguente comunicato stampa, NVIDIA ha presentato al grande pubblico il primo PC basato sulla piattaforma Ion; frutto della collaboarazione con il system builder Acer, il nuovo AspireRevo ha le dimensioni fisiche molto prossime a quelle di un libro da un lato e, dall'altro, è in grado di esibire prestazioni, grafiche in particolare, vicine a quelle dei desktop.
Oltre alla piattaforma NVIDIA Ion, AspireRevo include la cpu Intel Atom 230 a 1.6GHz, fino a 4GB di RAM DDR2, un HDD con capacità fino a 250 GB, un card reader 4-in-1, 6 porte USB, una HDMI, una VGA, una Gigabit Ethernet. L'OS preinstallato è Windows Vista Home Premium o Vista Basic.
La nuova soluzione di Acer permette il playback video in Full HD (risoluzione di 1080p) e audio ad alta fedeltà (true-fidelity a 7.1 canali). Supporta inoltre le tecnologie NVIDIA CUDA e Microsoft DirectX 10; in accordo al chip maker statunitense, consente di eseguire su buoni livelli game del calibro di Spore, Call of Duty 4 e Sim City 5.
